Dr. Wenjun Chi (Ed.D. Candidate, May 2026) has worked in institutional research and assessment since 2005, with experience across public and private colleges and universities in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. She currently serves as Director of Institutional Research at Delaware County Community College, where she leads institutional reporting, analytics, and data initiatives that support strategic planning and student success.
Her work focuses on applying data to improve institutional effectiveness, advising practices, and student retention. She has led major institutional reporting initiatives and implemented data systems that improve access to actionable information for faculty and administrators. She has also provided hands-on mentoring and professional development for Institutional Research staff, helping institutions build sustainable internal capacity.
Wenjun is completing her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University, expected May 2026. Her doctoral research focuses on advancing student-centered advising models to improve retention at community colleges.
She has presented at national and regional conferences, including the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) Forum, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education Annual Conference, the Indianapolis Assessment Institute, and the Drexel Assessment Conference. She will present two sessions at the AIR Forum 2026 in Washington, DC, focusing on stakeholder engagement and advising analytics to support student success.
Wenjun has also served as a peer evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and has contributed to successful accreditation and monitoring reports at multiple institutions.
